This door-sized panel is made of around 1,000 pieces of hand rolled art glass. Jennifer had been saving a lot of the glass for years, just waiting for the right "special project". "Bountiful Desert" will go in a Tucson home, where some very patient people have been waiting for almost 3 years to see this finished. The window was extremely challenging, with lots of hand-bent steel bars to provide reinforcing, a good amount of foil and lead overlay for even more detail, and five teeny tiny hummingbirds! |
